Compliance Consultant
With 25 years as an MC-licensed truck driver and 12 years in compliance management for major national logistics companies, John possesses extensive knowledge of transport compliance, safety, and PBS access. He is highly skilled in NHVAS and WAHVA accreditations and well-versed in regulatory compliance under NHVR and WA Main Roads. John also specializes in securing national route access for operators under PBS, OSOM, and Class 3 permits. Additionally, he has spent 12 years developing transport training documents, covering operational requirements from hitching and unhitching to Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, mass and maintenance. John founded JD Compliance Solutions with the vision of providing comprehensive but manageable training packages and streamlining compliance management for transport operators. Additionally, his mission is to assist operators in achieving Performance-Based Standards (PBS), enhancing productivity and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle designs
NHVAS Auditor, Compliance Consultant & Semi-trailer Engineer
Alan brings over 45 years of expertise in transport and logistics, focusing on fleet safety, NHVR compliance, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR). He has served as a National Fleet and Compliance Manager, Supply Chain Safety & Compliance Manager, and a consultant for Latus Risk Specialists. Alan has developed Safety Management Systems for WHS and CoR, managed national workshops, and provided training to enhance industry compliance. He has held General Manager roles within the Transport manufacturing arena for 4 major trailer builders, driving operational improvements. Alan holds a Graduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management, an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and is a certified Heavy Vehicle Lead Auditor. Skilled in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MRP systems.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics) with Honours
Dean is a professional engineer with extensive experience in the heavy vehicle industry. He most recently served as Operations Manager at Smedley's Engineers, previously holding the position of Engineering Manager. In these roles, he oversaw operations, managing labor, productivity, quality control, and safety, while also enhancing business processes and reporting systems. Dean also worked at Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd as the Systems Engineering Manager, supporting the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and as the Senior Engineer - Certification & Testing, where he handled vehicle testing and certification for the Australian market. Additionally, Dean spent two years in Singapore supporting a local manufacturer in supplying specialized vehicles to Australia. He played a key role in securing the contract and was responsible for the design, development, and compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) and standards
